Wholehearted Living

November 15, 2016

What does it mean to live wholeheartedly? Can my day to day life be experienced from a place of wholeness or does it take a lifetime to get to the point where the unnecessary entanglements are stripped away thus bringing me to a place of living and loving with worthiness?

I have spent the last 10 days on a tour of Israel. I traveled with a group of 43 people from all over the U.S. As I savor the experiences of this trip I am keenly aware of my complete renewal, physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. It is the only trip I have ever gone on where complete renewal has occurred.

Israel has always held a special place in my heart because of my faith. I fought the misconceptions about it being unsafe and moved forward to fulfill my lifelong dream of touring the Holy land. I intuitively knew the timing was perfect and opened myself to give and receive.

From day one to day ten was complete peace, calm and safety. My mind was free to think and study the fascinating history and documented evidence of the events I have read about. Our tour guide shared a vast amount of knowledge, archeology, history and I found myself wanting more and more. This knowledge revealed truths that touched my emotions and filled my heart with AWE.  Then came the spiritual connection that refreshed my soul and freed me from the "static" of life, the walls in my soul came down and I felt free. Each day was more and more refreshing. It was like I was being fully plugged in and eventually 100% charged. The hiking, walking, floating in the Dead Sea and the fresh and delicious food and drinks gave my physical body new energy and strength.

My existing friendship was fortified and I freely shared my life with numerous people, finding unique and special bonds that I know will last.

I bring home a package of gifts for my loved ones and a beautiful gift for myself: an awareness of what it is TRULY like to live wholeheartedly.  I am thankful for the opportunity for "times away" for total renewal, intellectually, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  Most importantly, I know I can choose to live each day with a keen sense of how to integrate these four avenues and live a flourishing life. It is possible now!

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.
